In a significant move towards bolstering public electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in the UK, the East of England Co-op has joined forces with Osprey Charging, marking a pivotal step in facilitating the transition to sustainable transportation.

The collaboration's inaugural phase has already commenced with the unveiling of two ultra-rapid charge points at select locations of the East of England Co-op, the largest independent retailer in the region. These installations signify the beginning of a broader initiative, with plans to roll out an additional seven sites in the coming months.

The newly installed 150kW charge points boast dual-charging capabilities, accommodating every EV model currently on the market. "The new rapid-charging points are easy to use and offer customers a convenient opportunity to charge their vehicle while doing their shopping, or alternatively pick up a drink and something to eat whilst getting a needed charge," Fendley remarked.

By strategically siting these high-speed charging stations at East of England Co-op stores across Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire, Osprey Charging aims to instil confidence among consumers transitioning to e-mobility.
