Consortium Confirms Development of Hydrogen Hub in the South West

A consortium led by Tower Group aims to establish the Exeter H2 Hub by 2026, featuring a 5 mega-watt pilot plant with mobile refuelling capabilities. The project seeks to supply hydrogen to fuel cell electric vehicles owned by utilities companies, local councils, and the public.

The consortium, including Wales and West Utilities and Element 2, plans to leverage government support to advance hydrogen refuelling infrastructure in the region. With a focus on decarbonising industry and promoting clean mobility, the project represents a significant step towards achieving UK's net zero objectives.
