FFUK have emailed their supporters informing them that Danny Alexander, the Chief Secretary to the Treasury wrote FFUK a letter regarding the evidence gathered about cutting fuel prices presented in the NIESR Report that was presented to him and his officials back in 2012.
The report illustrates that the impact of cutting Fuel Duty by 3p per litre could bring about around 70,000 jobs and the UK growth will be boosted by 0.2% if in line with policies that are under discussion in France and the USA. Rt. Hon Danny Alexander has outlined in his letter that he questions these statistics and wants to have further discussion with FFUK in reference to the NIESR report and to investigate their claims further.
