FairFuel UK Steps Up the Fight for Fuel Prices

With the budget looming on March 20th, Fair Fuel UK is contacting supporters to up their input.

With a meeting with MP’s at Westminster March 4th, FFUK are encouraging the public to not only sign up for the cut in fuel duty, but to enter their details into a database that will send an email to their local MP. The aim of this email is to get as many MPs at this meeting as possible to have an effect on the results of the budget.

Last year, FFUK achieved a 1p cut in fuel duty, which may seem small but was a giant step for FFUK and for the public with the increasing costs of fuel. They have also managed to prevent a 9p fuel rise for two years running.

From the poll that has been circulating for the last few weeks, the results showed that “Over 70% of members of the public and businesses said they would spend more on essentials (e.g. food) and spend more in shops generally, thereby stimulating economic growth” said FFUK, demonstrating how the proposed fuel cut can help rebuild the economy.
