Vosa not able to provide enough vehicle testers to ATF’s in 2013

New concerns have been raised about Vosa and their capability to provide ATF testers for ATF operators. Authorised Testing Facilities (ATFs) are essential for vehicle testing and many companies have been informed that they have been awarded less testing time for their vehicles, meaning that the drop in vehicle testing will result in loss of business for companies.

Vosa claim that they have ‘insufficient funds were available to cover the testing periods requested’ therefore the transport corporations are the ones who will suffer. Matt Shenton, who is the commercial director or Volan PVS, a two lane ATF in the West Midlands said he has only been awarded 60% of the testing time he and his team require next year.

How Vosa will cope under the strain of being in high demand as well as the appeals being filed against them by a growing number of transport companies who are outraged by the lack of testing time they are receiving and if this fails then there is talk of taking Vosa to court for breaching their contract.
