The Cost of Fuel Stays as Top Challenge for Fleets in 2013


Fuel consumption is remaining as the top priority for fleet managers in 2013, stated by GreenRoad, a fleet management systems supplier.

Over 35% of fleet managers said that fuel consumption was their most important obstacle to tackle next year, beating compliance with regulations and stressing the need to ensure safe driving. A proposal from over half the fleet managers surveyed said that to confront this challenge they would purchase more fuel-efficient or alternative fuel vehicles as an attempt to reduce their consumption of fuel, alongside 51% proposing to carry out better driver performance management systems of procedures to overcome the high cost of fuel.
