Reward Incentives for Saints Drivers that Keep Fuel Emissions to a Low

Drivers for Saints Transport may now have the opportunity to earn themselves a £25 a week bonus for driving efficiently.

This new trial incentive scheme for the Heathrow based air freight specialist haulier will commence from 1st January for six months. The trial consists of having all 350 drivers being assessed on a weekly basis and being graded from A-G. This is to assess driving efficiency as well as keeping fuel consumption to a minimum. The scheme will also help to identify those drivers that need more training or are not meeting Saints Transports high standards.

Drivers who receive a grade A will receive a £25 bonus and those who receive a grade B will receive a £10 bonus for the week. The vice-chairman Piers Carroll said “Drivers will have their braking, accelerating and idling measured and then given a grading, and those who drop below a C will be coming in for re-educating. This is to drive efficiency through reducing our fuel and environmental impact”.
