MP Visit during British F1 Weekend


The 10th of July seen Phillip Hammond MP, Secretary of State for Transport taking time out of his busy schedule to visit the national college for motorsport during the Silverstone weekend.

Part of Tresham College, the college operates from numerous locations throughout the South East, but the Silverstone campus is dedicated to motorsport technology.

The meeting included along various members of the college Andrea Leadsom MP for South Northamptonshire and provided an opportunity to discuss the future plans and for the Silverstone Centre, included amongst the proposals a University Technical College which would allow young people aged between 14 and 19 in the local area to train for a career in either High Performance Engineering or Motorsport and Event Hospitality Management benefitting from being able to train in realistic work place settings.
