DAF Latest to make cuts

Truck firm DAF are the latest company to make cuts in the workforce, with plans to axe the night-shift at its Leyland plant.

At present the plant will only lose the temporary staff that was taken on at the beginning of the year to cope with high demand. It is hoped that this step will prevent any further effect to the permanent workforce.
